Busy Moms & Working Out: How to Move Your Body When Life Is Full
Motherhood is beautiful—but it’s also busy. Between work, kids, home responsibilities, and everything in between, finding time to work out can feel overwhelming. If you’ve ever thought “I’ll start when life slows down,” this is your reminder: life may not slow down—but you can still take care of your body.
The good news? Working out doesn’t have to be complicated, time-consuming, or perfect to be effective.
You Don’t Need Hours—You Need Intention
One of the biggest myths about fitness is that it requires long gym sessions. For busy moms, that simply isn’t realistic. What is realistic is movement that fits into your real life.
10–20 minutes counts
Walking counts
Stretching counts
At-home workouts count
Small, consistent movement adds up over time.
One piece of equipment I’ve added that has been a game changer for my workout routine is the DeerRun treadmill. It’s light weight, convenient to tuck away when not in use, and simple enough to start up as soon as it came out of the box. Click the link below to check more options. 👇🏻

Progress Over Perfection
As moms, we often wait for the “perfect” time to start—when the house is clean, the kids are settled, and the schedule is calm. But perfection isn’t the goal. Progress is.
Some days your workout may look like a full routine. Other days it may be a quick stretch or a walk around the block. Both are wins.
Movement Is Stewardship, Not Selfishness
Taking care of your body is not about appearance—it’s about honoring the body God has given you. When you move your body, you’re investing in your health, energy, and ability to show up fully for your family.
A strong mom—physically, mentally, and spiritually—builds a strong home.
Simple Ways Busy Moms Can Fit in Workouts
Here are a few realistic ideas:
Wake up 10 minutes earlier
Do a quick workout during nap time
Walk while your kids ride bikes
Stretch or strength train while dinner is cooking
Follow a short at-home workout video
Remember: consistency matters more than intensity.
Start Where You Are
You don’t need a perfect plan. You just need to start. Choose one small way to move today and commit to showing up again tomorrow.
One step. One workout. One day at a time.
